DIRECTING OUR HEARTS, MINDS, AND CONVERSATIONS TO WHAT MATTERS
Ephesians 3:14-18 reads, "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family[c] in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

North Shore UMC's Youth Ministry is made up of students in 6th to 12th grade who hang out, have fun, & learn about loving others & loving God. We meet on the campus of North Shore United Methodist in the main building.

Through weekly gatherings, monthly events, and annual trips, our youth group strives to know the Lord more deeply and the share the love of Christ with all!

Annual Trips:

Winter Retreat:

Late January - Early February our youth head to Kerrville for a fun filled retreat with other churches! We have attended Conference MidWinters at Mount Wesley as well as REVIVE Winter Retreat at Camp Eagle. Be on the lookout for future dates and locations!

Summer Mission & Youth Camp:

UMARMY: Each summer our youth take part in a summer mission trip. This may consist of local construction, walking evangelism, or simply worshipping with a community in need of hope. We have partnered with UM ARMY Rio TX the past three summers and will continue to be on the look out for opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ locally, nationally, and internationally.

Camp Eagle: The mission of Camp Eagle is to "inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and Biblical truth." From ziplines to sherpa treking, amazing worship to team building, this camp is full of opportunities to face your fears, grow closer to one and other, and deepen your relationship with Christ! We LOVE Camp Eagle and are excited to continue to partner with them!

Fall Beach Retreat

The first weekend of Thanksgiving Break our youth group heads to Port Aransas and Corpus Christi for a weekend to unplug from the world and reconnect with our Creator. Our youth group spends the long weekend in fellowship, fun, and lots of food.

Confirmation Retreat

Confirmation retreat occurs in March and is a time for our confirmands to take part in a 3 day retreat to learn more about being a methodist, a christian, and an adult in the church. Our students go to Lakeview Methodist Conference Center in Palestine, Texas and to dive deeper into their faith and fellowship with others from around the state that are going through the same process.
