It seems like everyday we hear of friends or loved-ones who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or some form of dementia. Whether you are just beginning down this road or have been a caregiver for years, you might feel lonely, overwhelmed, exhausted, and/or all sorts of other things. One thing that we know is we are not created to bare this or any load alone. We were created for community!
We are so excited to be able to offer an Alzheimer's & Dementia Support Group!
We will gather from 10:30am-12:00pm on the Second Thursday of the month.
Caregivers will gather together for support and to share and rest while their care-receivers have safe place to rest and be cared for. In order to best care for your loved one we will ask you to fill out a brief questionnaire. (Here's a link so you can see it beforehand.)
We are super grateful for Pete Goodwin of Brain Storm Mind Fitness. Each month he brings us updates on treatments and medications. He is a great source of wisdom, compassion, and encouragement for our caregivers.
