COVID Response update (August 2, 2021)
Given the recent increase in cases in Comal and surrounding counties, as well as the CDC recommended guidelines related to masks, we are encouraging you to wear masks for indoor activities at the church, including worship. We are reminding you to wash your hands and to be mindful that people have different levels of comfort when it comes to personal space.
While we cannot be completely risk-free, we will do our best to maintain a safe, low-risk environment for any who want to participate in events on campus. We understand that, for any number of reasons, some will not feel comfortable doing so. If that is true for you, or if you are sick, please stay home, and worship with us online at 11:15.
There are so many different factors and considerations related to COVID and its variants. It is impossible to have absolutely all the information and to make a decision that will satisfy everyone’s opinions and beliefs about it. As followers of Jesus, we do not live in fear as we strive to make wise and faithful decisions in how we fulfill Jesus’ command to love one another. This love is agape love which means it is a sacrificial love that seeks the other person’s highest good, not just what’s best or convenient for “me”. We do live confident in God’s presence and provision, willing to be part of that provision for one another, especially the most vulnerable among us. With that in mind, I invite you to consider how you will love one another and pray for one another as we persevere through these challenging times. How will you be part of the body of Christ in thought, word, and action?
