1. When is my child ready for the Sea Turtle classroom?  When determining PreK class readiness there are a few defining factors: Your child is at least three and a half as well as fully potty trained.  Your child is ready to learn letters and the sounds they make, blending those sounds together, number recognition, and hands on learning.
  2. What am I expected to provide for my child?  Parents are responsible for providing an extra set of clothes, naptime blanket, naptime mat (you may purchase one from the school if you prefer), a water bottle, and a packed lunch from home each day.  Kids Cove provides the morning snack and the afternoon snack.
  3. What does the daily schedule look like? Some days may vary slightly depending upon the needs of the day within each classroom, but a typical day in our Sea Turtle classroom looks like this:

  1. What will my child learn during their time in the Sea Turtle classroom?  We have daily phonics time, math and science time, and handwriting time. We will work hard to get each child ready for kindergarten. Bible stories are a regular part of our curriculum.  In all of our classrooms we focus on learning about being kind and caring towards one another, and working out our differences using kind words and taking turns.  We spend a lot of time getting our hands dirty with lots of artwork, crafts, sensory activities as well as hands on math and science activities.  And of course, the most important learning of all at this age, lots of imaginative play!
