Music is a vital part of our worship at NSUMC. For many people, it is a significant way to connect with God and experience God's presence. We have teams that provide music leadership for both the more traditional worship service (primarily hymns) and the more contemporary service (primarily praise and worship music).
If you are interested in being part of the music ministry at NSUMC, contact Tannah Chase (praise@northshore-umc.org) for the contemporary service or Pam Floyd (pianopamsa@yahoo.com) for the traditional service.
Here at North Shore, we believe the children are a vital part of the Church. We have programs that will engage a child's curiosity and deepen their relationship with God and each other.
The ministry of men in the local church is defined as a core group of men, partnering with their pastor, to invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church. Everyone has different gifts, graces and areas of interest. The focus is not inward, concentrating only on those who attend a set meeting, but outward to all men, assisting them to engage the process of spiritual growth.
Men’s Bible Study
The men’s Tuesday morning Bible study is from 9am – 10am in the connections building.
Meetings
The United Methodist Man (UMM) meet each month on the first Tuesday at 7:30 am. for coffee, food and fellowship at the church. Each meeting is filled with a devotional, a guest speaker, and lots of information on upcoming events. All men are invited to attend. We are following social distancing guidelines to ensure safety of our members.
Welcome to NSUMC Youth Ministries! Our youth group is a place where kids 6th grade through 12th grade can come together for fun, games, worship, and missions!
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons though Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand the concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Meetings
General Group Meetings are held at 10am on Wednesdays of each month at the church. The UMW participates in the School of Christian Mission, District Annual Meeting, World Thanks Offering, Contributes to Local Charities, Quiet Day programs, Prayer Bear Ministries and The United Methodist Men’s Annual BBQ where we make and sell delicious desserts.
At North Shore we believe that missions in other parts of the world actually allow us to BE THE CHURCH. A phrase that we uphold to mean, take what you know about being a solid leader in Christ and show others through your actions. We have three main missions located in Guatemala, Juarez, and Uganda.
